Welcome to HXC. All you have to do is show up and we will have a great time. Do remember to remove your side steps prior to joint us. Remember your lunch as well.

We will be coming up from Hacienda Heights, basically near the 60 between the 605 and 57 FWYs. Anyone in the area or passing through wants to hook up, we'll be on the 60 by 8-8:15am. I'll have channel 37 up and running. :)

OK,
Taking the 55 to 91, stop in Corona, burritos and gas up :o  then take the 15 straight to Cleghorn exit. The fastest route for those of us traveling from the OC Coastal area.

Are they going to close the trail due to rain?

Don't think so. They don't close it with a little snow :P

Really, We just don't want a lot of weather.

I spoke with the Ranger today and he informed that the trail would not get closed due to a little rain. He said it would take a substantial down power of more than one day to close the trail. He did suggest we proceed through each optional trail arm with caution. The main trail is good to go, but he has not tested every single off-shoot.

Due to the large group we will be taking it slow. I will also be heading through each section while the person behind me waits for the "go" from me. I don't want to get half or all of the group into one of the sections and have to back everyone up due to impassibility.
