H1 Psycho Squad racer starting to move

Postby RobEverhart » Thu Apr 24, 2008 9:58 pm

:D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dImg3DG45DM :)

Its been a little over a year building it, but its starting to come to life
First movement of the truck
1) found out it was in Low Lock on the transfer case (encoder motor not hooked up, so couldn't switch)
2) Front caliper was binding
3) binding of front cv shafts? might need to change to non-plunging 934s (anyone know where we can find some of those?)
4) got a brake leak
5) we were in limp mode on the allison 6-speed tranny, but that was fixed
6) Steering linkage went thru a few adjustments, but its ok now
7) and we had to change a tire

our list that as getting shorter just got a few more bullet points

we fixed the front alignment a bit---you should see how much play there is in a uni-ball suspension, we fixed the brakes, and got her out of low lock--and made a little dust

Is it wrong if all that turbo whine gave me wood? :where:

Sweet! Much nicer with the front wheels pulling in the same direction. I love the bodywork. Are the 2 spikes in back for spares?

yep, two spares side by side. The alignment was off, but on h1's the inside tire always turns sharper -- other vehicles do this too but it's really noticable on hummers.
