I have an H2, so its not the same half shaft setup as the H3, but In addition to having a spare half shaft, I also keep a spare outer CV that I cut off a broken half shaft just to use to retain the wheel bearings in the hub. I have broken both shafts at the same time and this gives me the ability to use my spare and the stub to drive a long distance with out worrying about damaging the hub bearings. Why no keep two spares, honestly space is precious and the cut off outer CV does not take up too much space and its rare that I break both shafts.
