power locks stopped working

The 20 minutes disconnected should have been more than sufficient. Try disconnecting, cleaning and reconnecting the plug for the cables going from the body to the door. This is unfortunately a somewhat common occurrence where locks or windows stop working after disconnecting the battery. It doesn't seem like it should mater since you were not working in this area but I have seen this fix the issue for others.

Actually, on the H3 there is only one computer that could retain power over 30 seconds; and specs call for 10 seconds. And the computer designed to retain for one minute is called what?????. (Just a little test.) :D :wall:
If in a hurry and want to do it immediately, disconnect both cables and touch them together!

SDM, aka Sensing and Diagnostic Module many call the airbag controller, supplemental restraints controller, black box; etc. It has to be able to retain enough juice to set off the air bags, tensioners, etc., after an accident. Just in case you get into one where you are hit, the battery gets disconnected and you are still spinning around and need another front bag or side bag to inflate after the battery can no longer supply power.

And Happy NY to you.....

That makes a lot of sense.
