I think I am in for this one with my neighbor and fearless navigator "ROBO." I just have to get the normal ritual of being on some lake/river somewhere drinking tons of "soda pop" out of my head.

There is still two more days for lake/river. It will be a ton of fun.

Seth, do I need rocker protection for my H3T? I've ordered some but I do not think they will get here in time.

Thanks!

That's really a personal choice. I think you will be fine without rock rails so long as you are careful. I have seen several stock H3's go through this trail and never touch the rock rails because I carefully spot them through the tough stuff and they play it smart when picking the lines on their own. Always know there is the possibility of getting in a sticky situation, but I think this trail will be fine for you. There are other trails where I would say no way, but this isn't one of them.

Do you have a rear locker? My answer is if you don't care about your rims, you can definitely make it. Worst case we toss you a strap, but it probably wont' be necessary. Or you could head out and buy some off-road tires this week.

Seth We had such a good time last outing at Cleghorn Ridge (in the rain) that we finally got a log in for the site; And were going to bring two jeeps this time. Will this trail be a problem running open differentials? I have seen it rated difficult on some posts.

Very Cool. Introduce yourself in the "Welcome" area and show some pics of your Jeeps. :D

We are still trying to make it happen so I can get on this run.

I think open diffs on a Jeep would be fine. I have seen H3's without lockers make the hard sections. I look forward to seeing you huys out there.

Thanks for the Trail info... it takes the pressue off finding a locker for this trip...my wife is excited to dirve the YJ and while I'd like to find a very low cost locker or limited slip option, I want to find the right deal...so I can limmit the $$ into the YJ and the D35 axle as much as possible. We'll see you out there.
