As of now, I am trying to make this date work...so for now I am a maybe.

Wow. There is a lot of dissent on the trail. I am up for anything but Coyote Canyon and Gold Mountain.
Every time I miss the Canyon Sin Nombre y Sandstone Canyon run, so this will be new to me.

I hear you. But this is the run for May. I understand if you don't want to go. I will definitely plan a Coral Canyon run this summer.

The high is supposed to be 85 on May 15th. That's not bad for Anza. I wanted to get an Anza run out of the way before summers hot temps started.

I am looking forward to BB runs, but the annual Jeep Jamboree is in Big Bear on May 15th which really clogs up the trails. That was my first plan. We will get up there.

To accommodate the dissent amongst the ranks, I have planned an additional run up in Big Bear for May 29th. We will run Rattlesnake Canyon and Heartbreak Ridge. The thread link is viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12442

This run in Anza-Borrego is still on for May 15th even if I am the only one who goes. :P

I am in on Borrego :)

I was also thinking of getting a campsite at Borrego Palm Canyon for Friday if anyone wants to come down early and camp out, then hit the trail Saturday morning. There are also group sites if we get a larger group who wants to camp. Post up!!!!

I am also open to camping Saturday night also if that works for anyone. It would have to be at one of the primitive sites like Sheep Canyon, Culp Valley, Yaqui Well ect... since the the full service campgrounds close for the summer on the 15th.

This will be good to break up all the driving and give the opportunity to enjoy the spring desert and even run another trail.

Great, I look forward to seeing you there. I will bring your gloves. I doubt we will camp, but I will run it by the wife. The new baby makes long trips hard.

How weird,

I know that at least one other forum is doing this run, on exactly the same day at exactly the same time.

So you know what Seth?, I guess you won't be doing this run alone after all. Go figure.

Not weird at all. I told everyone that all are welcome and to feel free to share with others. It's not like people here are flocking to sign. I am glad that local Hummer groups can join together to enjoy a trail run.

Just to be clear, it's not because of lack of interest. The interest is there. It's just that the date was thrown out without any advanced notice or choice... ;)

Hey all,

Considering this run in my 99 Discovery II, but with no wheel speed sensor, I'm without TC/ABS and Hill Descent Control. Kind of like driving a Hummer. Ugh. ;-)

How many confirmed?

Be well!

Bo
Not a Hummer owner... Just enjoying the company of fellow off-road enthusiasts. Vehicles: 1999 Land Rover Discovery Series II and a 2005 Land Rover LR3 SE.
